THAT'S AS MANY AS 72 HOURS
AND THAT'S TERRIBLE
By the looks of things, we might as well not have internet for even longer. Apparently, the connection in our apartment is so sucky that we can only get 1-2 bars in one specific spot, which is all the way on the opposite side of the house from where I use my laptop. 8|; Long story short, I just spent like 2 hours total cleaning out my dA and FA inboxes because it takes about a minute to load a page properly sometimes.
So if you're concerned about me being AWOL on the art/blogging/whatever front (but why would you be), that's why. It's pretty stupid honestly, it's 2013 and we still get the kind of internet speed you'd expect from using Internet Explorer on dial-up. It's not even like we live in the middle of nowhere here, we're in the middle of the fucking Bothell/Woodinville area, where just about EVERYBODY LIVES AND GOES WHY IS THE SIGNAL SO POOR
Everything about this move has been stressful so far honestly, between my parents arguing about dumb shit and there being defects in our apartment when it was JUST RENOVATED BEFORE WE MOVED IN. Did you know some of our electrical sockets aren't even working? You plug shit in and it doesn't turn on. Nice renovations, Avana! Also the bedrooms don't have built-in lights at all, so we have to rely on daylight and lamps to see what the hell we're doing. We do have light switches by our doors, but the only things in our ceilings are sprinklers. As far as I'm aware, the switches do nothing, not even make the non-working outlets work. Also there's been some kind of funky smell wafting around in front of our apartment, which is apparently skunk cabbage or something.
AS YOU CAN TELL, THIS PLACE IS GOING TO TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO
At least disregarding all the initial issues, the apartment's gonna be good to live in (as long as we get those sockets fixed 6_9). I've got a nice big bedroom with plenty of space, we all got bigger TV's in each bedroom through a nice hand-me-down system, new furniture, new arrangements, etc. etc. Now I can safely use my laptop and play games from the same spot. |D And I have mondo closet space, enough for my parents to use as storage for things like holiday bins.
I obviously just hope this internet problem gets resolved soon. I still dunno what it is, our modem being outdated, the sockets being out of whack, or just the service doesn't have signals close enough (which again, is retarded). But whatever it is, hopefully we don't waste money trying to fix the wrong thing. 6o9 Electrical repairs and provider changes ain't cheap.
With any luck, I'll be back to annoying the shit out of everybody before I get bored to insanity with playing old video games over and over. Have a good day, y'all!
P.S. Epic Mickey's endgame has the most aggravating gameplay ever
